Spoon and spatula course

A one day course with Dave Jackson, you will learn the basics of splitting and shaping wood using greenwood using a pole lathe. Using various tools including knives and small axes, this highly rewarding greenwood craft is suitable for complete novices and those with experience.
Useful and beautiful kitchen utensils must be supremely functional, hygienic and fit comfortably in the hand. What better way to ensure all three criteria than to make your own rolling pin, spoon or spatula.
Aims:
The course introduces students to greenwood craft and the basic skill required to make and take away a rolling pin, spoon or spatula on the day.
The course covers:
Arrive: 15 minutes prior to a 9:30am start
Depart: 4pm, although this is approximate.

What to bring: warm work clothes, pen and notebook, packed lunch
