Fantastic beginners course in woodworking for the home

Learn basic traditional woodwork by building your own chunky garden bench from local douglas fir with Hector and Cedric.  The bench is 1600mm long 300mm width 450mm high. The timber is 50mm thick.  It will be a Waney design (with a natural edge) seat with chunky legs with a mortise and tenon jointed stretcher.

Aims

Students should gain a good understanding of the fundamentals of bench construction, using traditional techniques.  The tutor will guide the students to construct their bench, teaching the required skills to complete a bench to take home in one day.

Student preparation:

Students should wear clothing and footwear suitable for hands-on workshop work.  Students should arrange transportation for their completed bench, if this is not possible, we can look at delivery prices, depending on your location.
